To His Disappointment....the Hair Must GO!!!

Dad's hair was falling out in clumps......so it was time to shave it off. He would prefer to have a full head of hair.....
He was reminded that
"the Hair doesn't make the Man".

Lindsey reassures Grandpa that she still likes to rub his head even if his hair is gone!

His reaction when he first looked in the
mirror was......in a LOUD voice ......
"HOLY CRAP"
Not too spiritual but his response could have been worse!

We assured him that he has a nice head - not too many bumps - nice shape - besides........

Who needs hair with a face like that!!!

You probably don't know me but I wanted to send you some encouragement. :)

My grandmother was Marguerite Upleger. Grandma and "Aunt Eulie" used to live in a camper at our house in Florida during some summers a loooong time ago. I loved when they were there. I don't think I ever ate more citrus from the Sunshine State than when they were with us. :) I miss both of them and have some of the fondest memories of them from those visits!!

My Aunt Karen shared this blog with me a while back and I just wanted you to know that I've been watching your progress. I've shared with others about your trip to a treatment in a fancy old car and how thoughtful that was of the people involved to do that for you! You've got quite a team rootin' for you, Mr. Hale!

Well...I'm rootin' for you, too. I'm praying that Jesus heals your body and that you and your family grow even closer through this journey together. And don't you worry about that hair! You've got a pretty good lookin' noggin'...nothin' to worry about. :)

God bless you...each one of you. And thank you for sharing Aunt Eulie with a now 40 year old little girl. :)

You are officially "low maintence" now. ;) I know that has to be strange, but it looks like you were a good sport (allowing photos and all). Praying for you and for the chemo to find and kill all those bad cells. God's strength while you're body is working so hard. Rest and take care of yourself and listen to all those ladies around you! :)
